Marzieh Hashemi: Our post-9/11 Orwellian nightmare

The post-9/11 USA is an Orwellian nightmare…and it’s getting worse all the time. Since when could journalists, including American citizens, be indefinitely detained without charges? Since 9/11! (Actually it’s even worse…anyone, including US citizens, can be tortured and/or killed by the US government at any time, for any reason, without any due process…as happened to Anwar al-Awlaki and his innocent children..and it’s now perfectly legal!)

The only way to fix this problem is to expose the truth about 9/11, prosecute the real perpetrators, and restore the Constitution.

In the above interview I mentioned getting harassing phone and Skype calls, in which someone calls me and plays a tape of my voice talking about 9/11. This happened repeatedly in 2004 and 2005. It began the first time I discussed 9/11 on a Madison, WI cable access program called Garden of Truth in 2004. That show took call ins. We started getting calls from someone who would not speak or identify themselves, but would instead play a tape of what I had just said about 9/11. Sometimes the tape of my voice would be distorted with weird echoes and sound effects. I also got quite a few of the same type of calls at my home phone in 2004 and 2005.

Now the same thing has re-started. Below is a screen shot of the Skype user who called me on Skype early in the morning of Wed. January 16 and played a tape of me talking about 9/11 in my recent Sputnik interview.

I LOVE your open courageous truthful journalism. Now in my late 60’s, as a retired Psychologist-Counselor for healthcare needs, you give my heart, mind and soul every reason to continue to get up in the morning with a semblance of real hope, intelligence and integrity…as well as for my grand children’s children. Always please remember what you actually DO, ARE and INSPIRE for those of us who remember the dream of a higher humanity & dignity. What does it mean to be a genuine human being in 2019? You and your journalism are!
