Is today’s USA is becoming a monolithic, monologic, totalitarian society intent on spreading its social model to every corner of the world…sort of like the bad old USSR, only worse?

Today’s show features ex-Soviet dissident Vladislav Krasnov a.k.a. George Krasnow
of the Russia & America Goodwill Association (RAGA).  Vladislav defected to Sweden, then the USA, during the Cold War – not because he was “defective” but because the USSR was. Today, he can relate to American defectors like Edward Snowden – and to dissidents like yours truly. As Western “democracies” like New Zealand incarcerate 9/11 skeptics in mental institutions, while Haliburton feverishly builds concentration camps, it almost seems like the USA and Russia have switched roles, with the USA becoming a totalitarian hellhole bent on exporting neocon-style revolution while Russia re-emerges as a beacon of freedom and moderation.

During this show we discuss Russia’s return to religion, the great Russian writers Dostoevsky and Solzhenitsyn, and the philosopher M.M. Bakhtin, the champion of dialogism and polyphony, as well as more overtly political topics.

Vladislav Krasnov’s books include:

Solzhenitsyn and Dostoevsky: A Study in the Polyphonic Novel (University of Georgia Press, Athens, GA, 1979)
Soviet Defectors: The KGB wanted List (Hoover Institution Press, 1985)

Reading this posting, story seems realistic about the actual Russia's rebirth! But, I opine will take time, 70 years of Judeo-Marxism and terror, to be removed from people's mentality! My ex soviet friends, are stiil avoiding to talk about political matters, unless sure not to be overheard!
