Joshua Goldberg’s specialty is whipping up many varieties of hate speech frenzy on the Internet in order to advance power-serving agendas.
Joshua Goldberg is widely reported to have operated in the basement of his neglectful Jewish parents’ Jacksonville Florida home. The official narrative tells us that the unsupervised Goldberg was an obsessive compulsive “troll” doing demented mischief on the Internet in a random fashion.
Is the official explanation true? Or are accounts of Joshua Goldberg’s independent trolling actually cover stories to disguise the activities of a network of covert communications experts engaged in very strategic and sophisticated psychological operations?

After 1945 the official demonology of the Cold War made the former Soviet allies of the United States during WWII the US government’s primary official enemy. During the so-called Cold War, communists and Soviets were made the cause of repeated Red Scares. With the demise of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s a new enemy was required. The events of 9/11 served up the needed global demon. The diabolical imagery of Islamic terrorism was seized upon and busily manufactured in all mass media as the core component of the psychological warfare integral to the conduct of the Global War on Terror (GWOT).
In both the Cold War and the GWOT the political currency of fear has thus been expertly deployed and channeled to build up the power and prestige of the national security establishment. The powers of this establishment are rooted in the passage by the US Congress of the National Security Act in 1947. One of the functions of the supralegal status afforded those initiated into this establishment is to provide them with shield of impunity for their engagement in a wide array of criminal activities.
National security credentials extend to many businesses in the fast-growing privatized terror economy. National security certification amounts to a license to extract profit from many otherwise illegal activities including murder and theft in mercenary operations. Indeed, the extrajudicial powers extended to those inside the elaborate national security apparatus provide them with such effective shields of legal cover that they have become integral to the world’s most sophisticated networks of organized crime.
The online activities of Joshua Goldberg should be evaluated in this light. Is the huge mass of posts done in his name the product of the puerile ravings of a troubled adolescent left to his own devices in a basement den in Florida? Or is the official explanation of his activities a cover story for something very different? Do the Goldberg files offer the basis for an important case study in the renewal of old cycles of imperial rule through divide-and-conquer tactics?
The strategy of tension is often closely associated with false flag terrorism. False flag terrorism involves the misrepresentation of engineered violence with the goal of turning public opinion against targeted groups by demonizing their collective images.
In the final quarter of the 20th century much false flag terrorism was engineered in Western Europe through NATO’s oversight of the then-secret Operation Gladio. Gladio’s modus operandi was to orchestrate episodes of seemingly random terror and then to blame communists and other political opponents challenging the power bases of ruling elites.
Thousands of “Project Mockingbird” media operatives were hired by the CIA to help produce the weaponized propaganda integral to Operation Gladio’s psychological warfare. In the era of the Cold War and now in the era of the seemingly never ending 9/11 Wars, the West’s own domestic populations are made the primary targets of the national security state’s psychological warfare.
The new theoretical framework for the ongoing application of the strategy of tension emerged from the commentaries of strategic planners like Bernard Lewis and Samuel Huntington. They held significant positions of influence in the academic wing of the national security state and its attending military-industrial complex.
Well before 9/11, Lewis and Huntington had already proposed a justification to continue with high levels of militarization following the breakup of the USA’s primary Cold War enemy, the Soviet Union. Lewis and Huntington had proposed the “clash of civilizations” paradigm as the key to reorienting a resurgent and more aggressively weaponized USA to the rest of the world.
The national security state’s adoption of the “clash of civilizations” agenda emphasized conflict between “the West” and the Islamic world. The decision to make Islam the subject of a massive campaign of demonology helped maintain the privileged status of the tiny but massively entitled elite that benefits enormously from the lethal violence arising from the permanent war economy.
The building up the Muslim terror enemy as the primary menace facing the West has had devastating consequences. The extension of the strategy of tension into fostering antagonism between the Muslim ommah and Christendom has helped justify the inflated budgets, prestige, and political clout as well as the worldwide predatory operations of the most massive military and “intelligence” complex the world has ever known.
The psychological operations associated with Goldberg’s invented array of predatory Internet voices are suggestive of the important role of false flag engineering to manufacture the conditions necessary to sustain the “clash of civilizations” thesis. These engineered false flag events can take place in many different theatres of conflict. They can take place in physical interactions in the material world or in virtual online environments where the imagery of illusion finds its most secure home.
As is demonstrated in this assessment of Joshua Goldberg’s digital production, the Internet has become a primary theatre to instigate and amplify a clash of civilizations through the digital engineering of the strategy of tension. Goldberg’s imagined Internet characters most often give voice to incitements to lethal violence that, in at least one instance, were realized in reported shooting deaths. Goldberg’s extremely aggressive language includes visceral calls to arms that may indeed incite dupes and managed assets to respond with lethal force. In this fashion virtual false flag terrorism can sometimes “go live” as appears to have happened at Garland Texas.
Australi Witness as Virtual Jihadist
The official narrative would have it that Joshua Goldberg was plucked from his basement lair when the FBI arrested him in September of 2015 for terrorist-related accusations. The FBI charged Goldberg along with his terrorist confreres for conspiring to plant a bomb in Kansas City at the 14thanniversary assemblies commemorating the 9/11 debacle. Since his initial incarceration, Goldberg has been made to disappear into invisible anonymity on the basis of a single psychological assessment apparently done at the federal detention center in Miami.
According to the court-designated expert, Lisa Feldman, Goldberg is suffering from “schizophrenia.” Feldman deemed that the incarcerated youth was “incapable of understanding his legal predicament.” On the basis of this jailhouse evaluation, Goldberg was exempted from having to face a trial that might have exposed awkward disparities between the facts and the fictions adhering to one of the most notorious “trolls” on the Internet.
It has been reported that Goldberg was sent to the Federal Medical Center in Butner prison complex in North Carolina. Any efforts to bring Goldberg to trial have been countered by the claims of lawyer, Paul Shorstein, that his client suffers “depression.” Goldberg’s parents have reportedly gone on record to declare that their son has “many mental health problems.”
Goldberg was reported to be 20 years old when he was arrested in 2015 for his Internet posts done in the name of Australi Witness. This fictional character was one of many used by Goldberg to disseminate messages that might be considered incitements to genocide. The words of “Australi Witness” were widely publicized to the general public as those of a genuine ISIL jihadi fighter of Lebanese background living in Perth Australia. Some accounts also put the invented character in Melbourne.
Goldberg’s phantom “Australi Witness” had his own imaginary cover story. The web creation was pictured imagining himself as a valued employee of a “human rights organization much like Amnesty.” Goldberg had Australi Witness say, “I present myself as a moderate in real life, and the police have absolutely no idea who I am.”
In tweets and posts Goldberg’s imagined character boasted about helping to foment the antagonism that exploded into lethal tragedy at a weird art event in Garland Texas in May of 2015. The sponsors of this circus-like media spectacle were scurrilously devoted to highlighting satirical cartoons mocking Islam’s primary prophet, Mohammed.
“Australi Witness” was widely reported to have helped instigate the deadly violence that seized hold of the Garland event. Goldberg’s character took credit for goading two violent ISIL activists into jihadi action. Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, were subsequently reported as having been shot dead in Garland in armed exchanges with security guards.
Australia Witness was made to explain his own role in the Garland spectacle as follows:
“You might know me for inspiring the attacks in Garland, Texas, where two mujahideen entered an event mocking the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) {Peace Be Upon Him] with intent to slaughter the kuffar [non-Muslims] in it…..Any true Muslim knows that blasphemy against the Prophets of Allah (SWT) [may they be glorified and exalted] is a capital crime which cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, and Mariam Veiszadeh’s work has provided me with a great deal of inspiration. All who defame the Prophet (PBUH) must be crushed.
The threats and boasts and claims that Goldberg created for Australi Witness resonated far and wide across many media platforms large and small. Rita Katz’s Washington-based SITE Intelligence was one of the primary agencies that spread the fake news indicating the jihadist rhetoric of Joshua Goldberg/Australi Witness was real. SITE, which has close ties with the Rand Corporation through Prof. Bruce Hoffman, has been characterized as a key agency in the so-called Islamophobia Industry.
This “Industry” can be conceived as an elaborate network of businesses, media outlets, police services, government agencies, PR spin factories and Jewish philanthropies said to be devoted to inducing and exploiting fear of Muslim people, religion and culture. The key to this industrial-scaleproduction of fear towards Muslims is the engineering of false flag Islamic terror events accompanied by intense media spin such as that generated by Rita Katz and Joshua Goldberg. One of the outcomes of this pumped up Islamophobia is the spawning of the kind of public attitudes willing to condone the military invasions of Muslim majority countries like Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Syria and Yemen.
Rita Katz’s totally unsceptical handling of Goldberg’s “Australi Witness” tweets and posts was instrumental in giving the phantom Muslim terrorist the media status of a real person, even a celebrity of sorts. As Katz described it, the Goldberg-created character held “a “‘prestige’ position in online jihadi circles.” Whether or not Katz was self-consciously working with Goldberg or those that might have handled him and/or helped him, the net outcome of their combined efforts constitute a good example of fiction-based promotion of Islamophobia.
Here is an example of how Nick O’Malley, reporter at The Sydney Morning Herald in Australia, highlighted Rita Katz as the world’s top expert on Australi Witness’s role in Garland tragedy:
Rita Katz, executive director of the SITE Intelligence Group, said the tweeter known as Australi Witness, reportedly from Melbourne, had a “prestige” position in online jihadi circles and was, “part of the hard core of a group of individuals who constantly look for targets for other people to attack” and actively seeks recruits for the Islamic State.
They are working non-stop to incite other attacks,” she said….The SITE Intelligence Group is based just outside Washington, DC. It tracks terrorist networks and activity online and through social media. Ms Katz has acted as a consultant for US government agencies and foreign governments and testified before Congress on online terrorist activities.
“Australi Witness” posts as a “Soldier of #IS and advocate of #Sharia4Australia” and was one of several social media accounts to call for an attack on the Texas community centre hosting an exhibition of cartoons of Prophet Muhammad.
The tweeter posted a map of the community centre where the shooting happened and shared calls for Islamic State fighters and supporters to attack “with your weapons, bombs or with knifes”,The Australian has reported….
Australian authorities are looking intently at whether the Twitter user behind “Australi Witness” has broken new laws passed last year by the Abbott government, Fairfax Media understands…. Two men armed with assault riflesdrove up to the building and opened fire, wounding a security guard, Bruce Joiner. An officer with the Garland Police returned fire with a handgun, killing both men.
Manufacturing The Clash of Civilizations on the Internet
The intense media spin enwrapping the Mohammad Art Exhibit and Contest at Curtis Culwell Center in Garland Texas helped project this episode in the Global War on Terror towards the status of an urban legend. Like many such events, this miniature clash of civilizations likely combined some unpredictability of real-life drama with pre-scripted, engineered and orchestrated mayhem integral to false flag terrorism. The calculated conflation of fact and fiction is a primary motif in the mythological construction of the Global War on Terror that emerged from the original misrepresentation of the 9/11 debacle.
Seen in retrospect, the energies that converged in Garland represent early rumblings of the explosive alchemy that would later coalesce in the presidency of Donald Trump. David Horowitz, Daniel Pipes and Robert Spencer were prominent among the champions of using cartoons to hold Islam’s primary prophet up to ritualized ridicule. The notorious and controversial Dutch politician, Geert Wilders, was the keynote speaker at Pam Geller’s Garland Celebration of Free Expression for Anti-Muslim Hate Speech.
Goldberg’s Australi Witness concluded his commentary on the Garland event with a blood curdling jihadist message. The supposed “troubled troll” made Australi Witness exclaim,
The Jews are the worst enemies of Allah (SWT). When Islam conquers Australia, every single Jew will be slaughtered like the filthy cockroaches that they are. Finally, I would like to state with absolute authority that Islam is most definitely NOT a religion of peace. Islam is a religion of violent conquest. And, rest assured, Australia: Islam WILL conquer your nation. As a matter of fact, it is already happening. Your churches are becoming mosques, your food is becoming halal, your women are having our babies, and your laws are becoming sharia. Australia’s defeat at the hands of Islam is inevitable. The more you try to fight it, the harder it will be for you. Give up and accept your future as an Islamic nation – a member of the global Islamic caliphate that the Islamic State will create, Allah (SWT) willing.
I have a vast network of mujahideen around the world, and I will continue to inspire and coordinate jihad attacks around the world. There is absolutely nothing that you can do to stop me. By disseminating some of the Internet’s most visceral incitements to genocide, Goldberg became a force to be reckoned within the chaotic Wi-Fi culture of our times. Goldberg’s forte is contemporary, state-of-the-art hate speech done digitally in the vernacular of the day. Through the intervention of SITE Intelligence and many related media agencies, this hate speech found its way into a wide array of social media venues as well as numerous venues of mass communication sometimes referred to as the mainstream media. The Australi Witness of Goldberg’s vivid imagination perversely combined hate speech with provocations all conducive to giving the aura of authenticity to the assumptions underlying the “clash of civilizations” thesis.
Other than good education infused by critical thinking and common sense, there are no psychological filters to prevent the seepage of Goldberg’s genre of mind contamination into the mental environment. The Internet has become the core medium of this mental environment for about half of humanity in the twenty-first century.
Seen in its best light, the Internet hugely democratizes access to information. It makes quickly accessible for average people a significant portion of the entire record of human civilization. Let us remember that strong representation of the words of, for instance, Shakespeare, Gandhi, Tecumseh and Moses accompany those of Joshua Goldberg on the contemporary Internet.
There has never been in all of history an educational resource anywhere near as formidable as the Internet. Not only that, but as an interactive medium, the Internet creates huge new opportunities for many millions of people who would otherwise lack a voice in theatres of public discourse. The Internet is changing almost everything in the structure and format of our global civilization and much of that change is for the better, or potentially for the better.
On, however, a more critical note, for some the cyberspace environment of the Internet is not well suited to the cultivation of careful linear reasoning accompanying deep textual analysis such as that attempted here. Rather, the Internet can be a place governed in large measure by the power of imagery, symbolism, and whim. For many users, the Internet often lends itself to streams of happenstance associations epitomized by the act of surfing the worldwide web randomly, intuitively.
Generally speaking, then, the virtual reality of the Internet is just that. It is a place where phantom realities, the illusion of reality, pseudo-realities can thrive. The Internet actively invites deception. It creates interactive niches devoted to digital equivalents of cross-dressing, transgender transformations, role changing, and cheating without accountability by disguising one’s true identity. The Internet is a levelling medium affording equal opportunity for all its users to become, if they so desire, undercover secret agents, even double triple or quadruple agents.
There are basically no restrictions on pushing the frontiers of illusion, fantasy and outright fraud as Joshua Goldberg did, and possibly still is doing, through the purposeful dissemination of potentially lethal disinformation. On the Internet all accountability for disseminating falsehoods and provocations to violence can seemingly vanish behind a veil of anonymity and pretend identities.
The sense of camaraderie can be formidable among Internet pretenders who share free reign to indulge their fantasies, delusions and obsessions through the activation of cyberspace fictions of their own invention. In this milieu, the line between evidence-based articulation and deliberate deception becomes difficult to identify. Representations of the real world merge almost imperceptibly with fakery, fraud and disingenuous expressions.
More Web Personalities Said to Be Goldberg Creations
The Goldberg collection of high-profile deceptions has deluged the Internet. Goldberg appears to be the author of floods of highly offensive texts and images expressing the desire to generate distress, antagonism, murder and mayhem across many conflict zones of ethnic, religious, cultural or ideological conflict.
Goldberg blogs in the names and voices of many different characters that articulate perspectives often perched on opposite sides of some of society’s most acrimonious schisms. For instance, Goldberg created the character “Tanya Cohen,” a human rights activist hostile to free speech. On the other side of the same issue “MoonMetropolis” became Goldberg’s imagined advocate of “free speech absolutism.” MoonMetropolis was made to post on many platforms including Twitter, Reddit, Disqus and Thought Catelog.
Goldberg pretended to be the real Caitlin Roper, an actual person known as an outspoken feminist opposed to sexual objectification and exploitation of women. Goldberg apparently made the following tweet as well as others like it disguised as Roper: “Trannies [transgender people] you will never be the opposite gender. Get a rope and hang yourself. You know you want to. End it all now.”
Roper had to struggle hard to distance herself from these deceptive tweets disseminated in her name.
“Philosophy of Rape” addressed Internet audiences from a perspective vehemently opposed to that of Caitlin Roper. Goldberg’s invented character pushed back against feminist assertions. The voice of this imagined hater on the Internet advocated “corrective rape” to punish “whores and feminazis.”
While Goldberg was very active along various divides of gender and sexual orientation, his most aggressive hate-speech has consistently revolved around race and religion. Goldberg’s wide array of jihadi inventions extended to digitally manufactured virtual cells of specifically named Islamic terrorists often identified as ISIL fighters.
In one of his projects directed at influencing public discourse concerning Australia’s role in the Global War on Terror, Goldberg had these pretend jihadists digitally swarm a real Muslim preacher, Junaid Thorne. In order to embarrass Thorne, Goldberg sent screen shots to journalists recording the exchanges between the fake jihadists and the real preacher whose actual background encompassed Saudi, Malaysian and Aborigine identities.
“Michael Slay” is another of Goldberg’s major invented characters. Goldberg’s “Michael Slay” contributed for several months in 2015 on almost a daily basis to Andrew Anglin’s extreme White nationalist web site, Daily Stormer. Anglin has recently been in the news for his being sued in a litigious dispute, possibly engineered. This civil case concerns real estate, racism, White nationalist Richard Spencer’s mother and her nemesis, “Tanya Gersh.” The heavily reported drama continues to unfold in the resort town of Whitefish Montana.
Anglin removed Goldberg’s posts from Daily Stormer after the FBI arrested one of the Internet’s most infamous chameleons. Anglin introduced Goldberg in his “Slay” personae as “a National Socialist” said to “advocate for the extermination of all non-Whites.” Extermination of all non-Whites! Now that may be the most ambitious genocidal project ever announced.
“Slay’s” concocted White supremacist diatribes have become difficult to find on the Internet since Anglin removed them. The web masters at blindsight, however, archived some of the material attributed to Andrew Anglin’s collaboration with the Joshua Goldberg. The following excerpt is extracted from a “Slay” article entitled, “Europe Needs a Final Solution to the Nigger Problem:”
It’s been all over the news lately, and it’s something that every European is talking about: thousands and thousands of inferior mud-blooded subhumans have been flooding into Europe by the boat loads. Eager for welfare money to spend on drugs, White women to rape, tourists to mug, and buildings to bomb in the name of their goat-fucking prophet, these primal, feral nigger savages have become like a cockroach infestation on the once-great European continent. Except they are much, much worse than cockroaches. Cockroaches can be easily dealt with, and the damage they cause is relatively minimal. The nigger virus, however, is much more destructive. Cockroaches only destroy houses, but niggers destroy entire nations — and, if we let them, these primitive apes will destroy the entire world…..
In Israel, niggers are treated like the vile cockroaches that they are. Niggers in Israel are locked up in concentration camps, forcibly sterilized, and then shipped off to White nations like Sweden and Australia. That’s because Israel knows very well how destructive niggers are, and they know how niggers destroy cities and eventually nations. If you ask me, Israel isn’t nearly harsh enough on niggers. Niggers shouldn’t just be sterilized and deported. Niggers should be exterminated altogether. Every single worthless nigger needs to be rounded up into cattle cars, shipped off to gas chambers, and slaughtered like cattle. The only possible use for niggers would be to conduct medical experiments on them.
We can’t experiment on humans because our ethics prevent us from conducting experiments that cause significant pain. But, since niggers aren’t human, we can cause as much pain as we want. We can cut open pregnant niggers, we can chop up nigger babies, we can inject nigger children with all sorts of unstable chemicals — hell, we can do whatever we want to these subhuman beasts. And, by conducting medical experiments on niggers, we can obtain medical knowledge that will ultimately be useful in providing medical assistance for humans. Not only that, but it would also be a lot of fun to do. Could there be anything more satisfying than the helpless screams of a nigger child as it’s torn apart by human doctors? I certainly can’t imagine anything more enjoyable. If Europe had any sense, it would be slaughtering niggers en masse, keeping only a few alive to conduct medical experiments on (and then killing those niggers once they’re no longer useful).
Goldberg’s Deception as Weapons of Attack on Josh Bornstein and I
Goldberg’s invasions of the digital spheres of real people involved the application of added dimensions of Internet skill together with the patience to move gradually towards the theft of his targets’ digital voices. Goldberg’s most famous psy op along these lines was his impersonation of Josh Bornstein, a real liberal Jewish lawyer living in Australia.
With deftétapisme, Goldsberg created a Josh Bornstein blog on the web platform of The Times of Israel. He introduced the column gently, publishing prose reflective of the kind of thing Bornstein would actually say. Then Goldberg struck with a concocted Bornstein blog entitled “Understanding the Idea of Israel Under Talmudic Law.” In that essay Goldberg acted as a ventriloquist, having his concocted version of the Bornstein character declare:
Isn’t it time for a mass sacrifice of ignoble “Palestinian” scum? Isn’t it time to cleanse the land of Israel—which rightfully belongs to the jews—of all inferior subhuman vermin? What we need to do is round up all “Palestinian” cockroaches and slaughter them like cattle. We need to take immense pleasure in raping, torturing, and murdering “Palestinians.”
Several months ago my own attention was drawn to Joshua Goldberg and his Internet frauds when I was rendered a victim of his hate speech histrionics. In mid-September of 2016 I became aware that the Canadian branch of the worldwide Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, a very old and extremely powerful Zionists organization devoted to “the security of Israel,” was running a vicious Internet campaign against me.
In multiple posts on a network of related web sites, including B’nai Brith Canada’s main digital platform, many public demands were published asserting that I should be investigated and terminated in my academic job. The outpouring of outrage was channeled into a B’nai Brith petition calling for my removal from my post as full and tenured professor of Liberal Education and Globalization Studies at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta Canada.
I soon discovered this witch hunt had its origins in an abhorrent Internet post said to have been put on my Facebook wall without my knowledge and consent for a few hours on August 26. This post, I discovered through my own investigations, could be traced back to the digital creativeness of Joshua Goldberg.
The post depicted the image of a “White man” said to be strangling an “Orthodox Jew.” Beside it appeared a miniature text bearing all the hate speech hallmarks of a Joshua Goldberg diatribe. Goldberg seems especially enamored with the words “cockroaches” and “vermin” to describe his favored objects of hate no matter whether they be Palestinians, Jews, Muslims or “niggers.” The text proclaimed:
“There was never a Holocaust, but there should have been and, rest assured, there WILL be, as you serpentine kikes richly deserve one. I will not rest until every single filthy parasitic kike is rounded up and slaughtered like the vermin they are. The White man has had more than enough of International Jewry and we are fully prepared to smite the parasite for the millionth time. The greedy, hook nosed kikes know that there days are numbered and, unlike in the past, they now have nowhere to run. This time, there will be no kikes left alive to spread around the planet like cockroaches. We will get them ALL into the oven and their putrid memory will finally be erased from the planet once and for all. Like all parasites the Jew will continue to reproduce until every last one has been wiped out. As related by officials of B’nai Brith Canada, its staff led a brief campaign on Aug. 26 demanding that offending Facebook item be removed from my Facebook wall. Reportedly the offending post was indeed expunged after an initial unsuccessful try to persuade Facebook officials to take it down. Facebook’s reported removal of the Goldberg post from my Facebook wall was only the start, however, of B’nai Brith’s dirty disinformation campaign.
Did those officers of B’nai Brith Canada who publicized the reprehensible post on my Facebook wall play a role similar to that of Site Intelligence’s Rita Katz in misrepresenting Goldberg’s Australi Witness character? Could B’nai Brith officials have been completely unaware of the real genesis of the Goldberg post and how it found its way from the computer of its creator onto my Facebook wall?
Is Facebook Inc. itself a party to the deception? What could Facebook technicians discover about the chain of digital replication of the offending item from its source to my Facebook wall? Was the publicity swirl highlighting the appearance of the Goldberg post on my Facebook wall, including the emphasis on its reprehensible incitement to ‘kill all Jews,” the outgrowth of a preconceived plan?
According to the explanation offered by B’nai Brith Canada in many media venues, Goldberg’s Facebook item was said to have been reflective of my general attitudes. I have repeatedly denied this slander. As soon as I became aware in mid-September of B’nai Brith’s concerted media campaign against me I publicly condemned the offensive Facebook post.

As explained below, it did not take long for me to discover the source of the offensive digital item was Joshua Goldberg. After initiating its campaign, B’nai Brith Canada indicated in an understated way that the “kill all Jews” post was put on my digital wall by Glen Davidson, also of Lethbridge. When I asked Mr. Davidson, however, if he had posted the contentious item he said he had not done so. If Mr. Davidson didn’t put the Facebook post on my wall, who did?
As related on the publicly-owned Canadian Broadcasting Corporation by B’nai Brith employee Ryan Bellerose, he screen captured the “kill all Jews” Goldberg post and then called over to his home members of the Calgary Alberta police force to view it. As Bellerose tells it, he just happens to have a pre-prepared slide show on hand to advance B’nai Brith’s case that I should be investigated under the hate speech laws in Canada’s criminal code.
When the Goldberg post was removed on Aug. 26, Facebook did not send me a notice to let me know what had transpired. Nor did police contact me until police investigators announced their decision on Sept. 28 not to charge me with violation of the hate speech provisions in Canada’s criminal code.

I have gradually learned of the magnitude of the B’nai Brith efforts to promote the misrepresentation that Goldberg’s “kill all Jews” diatribe was somehow reflective of my opinions even though I did not post it. I continue to emphasize my complete rejection of everything the demented Goldberg post portrays, proclaims and embodies.
The clear object of the planting of the maliciously engineered Facebook item was to have me investigated and removed from my academic post at the University of Lethbridge. B’nai Brith Canada organized a petition to this effect mailed out en masse to its large membership.
To make a long story short, B’nai Brith Canada and related groups including the Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs essentially got their way. The University of Lethbridge’s President Mike Mahon bend to this pressure and suspended me in the midst of my teaching term on October 3rd 2016. Dr. Mahon suspended me initially without pay and without any finding against me in a properly constituted process of third-party arbitration.
My attention was first called to Joshua Goldberg by Ben Garrison, a Montana cartoonist whose name appeared at the bottom of the offending text as Ben “Tel Aviv Terror” Garrison. In an e-mail exchange with Garrison initiated by mutual friends and associates, Garrison explained that his work is often exploited in the 4chan forgeries and alterations done most often by Joshua Goldberg.
Goldberg, I was informed, had photoshopped the offending Facebook post to replace the head of an Israeli security guard in the original photograph with the inserted head of a hat-wearing Ben Garrison. The original image is owned by Getty Images. The original photograph was snapped in 2005 during a protest by rabbis against the Israeli government’s building of a road through a burial ground.
In the course of my research about the original image I learned it was part of the record of the Israeli government’s frequent encounters with the protests of some rabbinic groups. Some of these rabbinic dissidents in Israel do not accept the legitimacy of the Zionist idea of installing the religion of Judaism as the basis for the political formation of a nation state.
As I continued my research of the matter I began to notice how widely Ben Garrison’s cartoon images as well as his photographed portraits have been altered to fit the stereotypical iconography of a White supremacist Nazi who hates Jews, Blacks and many other groups. I noticed that Andrew Anglin published many of the images using Ben Garrison cartoons and portraits on Daily Stormer, the same venue where many of Joshua Goldberg’s essays appeared in his invented personae as the White supremacist, “Michael Slay.”
The realization that Joshua Goldberg, Andrew Anglin and Ben Garrison have interacted so closely on the same platforms of Internet publishing caused me to question the actual nature of the interactions between them. Is it credible that the three prolific producers of Internet content remained unaware of the disjunctures between their public personae and their private identities as citizens? Was Anglin, for instance, a co-conspirator with Goldberg or was the editor of the Daily Stormer actually fooled into believing he was dealing with an actual person named Michael Slay?
Was Rita Katz merely wrong or was she involved in a crime of intentionally defrauding the public? Was Rita Katz of SITE intelligence a complicit or inadvertent party in the misrepresentation of Australi Witness as an actual ISIL member rather than a Joshua Goldberg invention? Recall that Rita Katz went far to identify Goldberg’s invented character as one of the most important and influential Islamic terrorists posting on the Internet.
Were the officers of B’nai Brith Canada aware of the underlying fraud deployed in their smear campaign against me? Was the planting as well as the malicious publicization of one of Joshua Goldberg’s more notorious Internet deceptions integral parts of a collaborative psychological operation?
Are the executives and journalists at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Now Magazine, the Lethbridge Herald, Global News Canada, as well as the Governing Board and President of the University of Lethbridge cognizant of their complicity in a scam? They helped incite a witch hunt against this tenured full professor without following up on leads given them about Joshua Goldberg’s inflammatory function in this controversy. Goldberg’s “kill all Jews” Facebook post was instrumental not only in the attack on my professional base but also, by implication, on the legal basis of protections for academic freedom and the institution of tenure.
Like the journalists and university officials close to this case, police officials involved in this matter in both Calgary and Lethbridge failed to investigate the role of Joshua Goldberg as the source of the offensive post. Responding to a complaint by agents of B’nai Brith Canada, police treated me as a possible protagonist of hate speech rather than as the victim of a virulent hate speech campaign directed at me.
Rather than seeing me as the object of a malicious scam involving one of Joshua Goldberg’s more audacious posts, the Lethbridge police reported in a press release issued on September 28, 2016, “Investigation determined the post, while extremely offensive and inappropriate, does not meet the threshold of intent set out in the Criminal Code of Canada for advocating genocide or public incitement of hatred.”
What is the backstory to this episode? Did Goldberg and/or his handlers participate with a wide circle of knowing or inadvertent collaborators in a sophisticated psychological operation? Did Goldberg set in motion a series of events that made many parties beside himself active participants in the strategy of tension that feeds the conditions for an artificially-manufactured clashes of civilizations.
Maintaining the Strategy of Tension Through Obfuscation of the Facts
The CEO of B’nai Brith Canada, Michael Mostyn, has referred publicly on more than one occasion to Joshua Goldberg’s notorious “kill all Jews” Facebook post. Without any acknowledgement that he is commenting on a deception on the Internet produced by a young Jewish man, Mostyn quotes from Goldberg as if he is presenting credible evidence of rising anti-Semitism. On the basis of this claim Mostyn repeatedly demands that the criminal justice system must become more repressive. He wants to see more criminalization of those he charges with anti-Semitism often because they criticize the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians.
Is there disingenuousness in Mostyn’s initial comments in response to the brief placement of the Goldberg post on my Facebook wall on Aug. 26? Could a leading lobbyist for Canada’s adherence to the policy priorities of the Israeli government be genuinely unaware of Goldberg’s role as an agent provocateur?
In the citation below, Mostyn’s response to the Aug. 26 identification of Goldberg’s post on my Facebook wall is followed by the comments of Amanda Hohmann. Ms. Hohmann treats the episode as the basis for a promo of B’nai Brith’s participation in logging Anti-Semitic incidents.
Under a B’nai Brith headline proclaiming “’Kill All Jews Now’ is an Acceptable Message, Facebook says,” Mostyn and Hohmann are quoted as indicating,
“Antisemitism in all forms is rampant on social media, but this is the clearest, most obvious kind of antisemitism one could possibly create,” said Michael Mostyn, B’nai Brith CEO. “The classification of this as antisemitic cannot be challenged, and the fact that this promotes violence towards Jews is beyond dispute. Regardless, Facebook has deemed it acceptable despite its ‘community standards’ containing clear provisions against hate speech….
“Every year, upon publication of our Annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents, a contingent of detractors accuses us of saying the sky is falling, and that antisemitism does not exist in Canada,” said Amanda Hohmann, National Director of B’nai Brith’s League for Human Rights. “Content like this is proof positive that not only antisemitism of a genocidal nature exists in Canada, but the systems that are supposed to protect us from racist hate speech don’t consider hatred of Jews to be problematic.”
The spectacle of the B’nai Brith hitching its wagon to the anti-Semitic Facebook post created by Joshua Goldberg should raise many questions about how the impression is created that hatred towards Jews is on the rise. This perception is conducive to the advancement of many agendas the serve Zionist and Israeli interests.
For instance the perception that anti-Semitism is on the rise helps justify the operations of organizations like B’nai B’rith that form a significant part of the Israeli lobby in Canada. Its campaigns like the one mounted against me help in raising of money to assist with this lobbying the Canadian government formulate policies that conforms with Israeli priorities.
The perception that anti-Semitism is growing is also essential for the encouragement of Jewish immigration into Israel from the Diaspora. Moreover, the Israeli government cannot retain its home population, which it often has difficulty doing, without promoting the idea that all countries except Israel are hotbeds of antipathy towards Jews. For these and other reasons Goldberg’s grotesque anti-Jewish post put on my Facebook wall actually was made to serve many Israel First agendas.
Are larger patterns at play in the public characterization of Goldberg as a troubled youth? Is he nothing more than a sad a twisted individual acting alone or is Goldberg being used as a distraction to disguise the operation of an elaborate and well oiled campaign of psychological warfare?
The characterization of Goldberg as a troubled youth is much like the media reports characterizing the crime spree of Michael Kadar. Kadar is described as an 18 year old Israeli-American dual citizens who is being investigated for literally thousands of crimes including money laundering, drug dealing and computer scams.
Kadar’s crimes are reported to include making phone calls to hundreds of Jewish centers, synagogues, airports, airlines, schools and malls around the world. The purpose of these calls is to send false warnings that bombs were about to be detonated at these sites. The proliferation of the incidents now said to originate in the independent actions of a single troubled youth acting alone have been tallied to provide evidence of a tsunami of hatred towards Jews.
The details of Kadar’s warning calls have been dutifully logged by officials like Amanda Hohmann to advance the case that the frequency of hate crimes against Jews is growing. Indeed, Kadar’s feigned anti-Semitism was deployed to signal that the rising potential for anti-Jewish violence should justify a broad array of censorious measures. One of the most prominent of these was initiated by Yad Vashem, Israel’s World Holocaust Remembrance Center. Its staff used Kadar’s actions to help pressure the proprietors of Amazon.com to eliminate dozens of titles from the Internet giant’s list of available books of World War II history.
Are Michael Kadar and Joshua Goldberg soley responsible for their severely criminal actions? Are they really acting alone out of no other motivation than their own anti-social proclivities? Or are Goldberg and Kadar only the visible individuals in elaborate criminal conspiracies that perform strategic deeds far beyond the capacities of inexperienced young people not long out of puberty?
The evidence that might be brought forward in legal prosecutions of these two individuals might answer many questions. But it seems that those around Kadar are moving to pre-empt the option of discovery through litigation. There seem to be initiatives underway to declare Kadar mentally unsound by reason of “autism” and a “brain tumor.”
If successful, this tactic replicates the obtaining of a court ruling indicating that Joshua Goldberg is too psychologically frail to face a jury of his peers. How does this diagnosis square with the high level of bold audaciousness, unflinching competence and high energy Goldberg has displayed in what is known of his Internet campaigns?
Will this strategy of maintaining tension through the extreme fakery of the likes of Joshua Goldberg and Michael Kadar be allowed to stand? What is to be said of the deeply deceptive incitements to hatred embedded into the psychological DNA of the specious Global War on Terror? Who are the main victims of the incitement to hatred as epitomized by the Internet indecencies attributed to Joshua Goldberg?
The ubiquity of these hate speech deceptions as a trigger for violence, most of it committed through the military campaigns of governments, has in a sense globalized the false flag terrorism developed during the Cold War in NATO’s oversight of Operation Gladio. The aim of this divide-and-conquer strategy through false flag terrorism constitutes a huge crime against humanity.
The most ambitious aim of the world’s dominant crime syndicate engaged in these activities is to extend the heritage of colonialism into new forms of imperial globalization. The renewed cycles of imperialism, now on a worldwide scale, incorporate new systems of oppressive control including through updated versions of debt enslavement and thought policing.
The largest mass of humanity is on the receiving end of these toxic new strategies of imperial globalization. Some groups, however, have been placed in the forefront of the divide-and-conquer strategies embodied in the application of clash-of-civilizations policies. Certainly the worldwide community of Muslims, the ommah, are currently the objects of the most concerted forms of hate speech and incitement to genocide alive in the world today. The hate speech entailed in misrepresenting false flag terrorism, including the events of 9/11, have resulted in the murder, displacement and maiming of millions of Muslims.
As I see it, therefore, the failure to grapple with the extension of Gladio-style false flag terrorism in ways that demonize Muslims much like real or imagined communists were once demonized, amounts to complicity in hate speech and genocide. This macro interpretation is replicated in a micro interpretation of the Goldberg/B’nai Brith virtual false flag deception on my Facebook wall. By giving academic credence to the Goldberg deception, the administrative branch of the University of Lethbridge is entering the realm of anti-Muslim hate speech including through a concerted effort to shut down genuine academic discussion on the true nature of the still-unsolved 9/11 crime.
