Sami Al-Arian with George W. and Laura Bush during Bush’s 2000 campaign

Dr. Sami al-Arian was the best-known American political prisoner of the post-9/11 era. (He’s now free after being deported to Turkey on February 4th, 2015.) Check out his new article:

Deported Palestinian Civil Rights Activist: Jeb Bush Lied About Working With Me: Sami Al-Arian reveals how Jeb Bush courted his political support, then helped destroy his life after 9/11

In the late 1990s through 2001, Dr. al-Arian experienced tremendous success as the most effective Muslim-American electoral-politics organizer in history. But he became a victim of that success when, after delivering the 2000 election to George W. Bush, he was railroaded out of the University of South Florida and into prison by a hysterical 9/11-addled lynch mob…a campaign which, like the 9/11 false flag operation itself, was led by Zionists terrified of losing their grip on US foreign policy, which would mean the end of their genocidal settler-colonial entity in Occupied Palestine.

Why in the world did Dr. al-Arian and the American Muslim community elect George W. Bush?! As al-Arian explains in this interview, Bush (unlike Gore) promised to end the practice of using secret evidence to justify the judicial kidnappings and disappearances of Muslim activists. (The activists targeted were almost always those working for justice in Palestine, suggesting that the American judicial system, even then, had been captured by the Zionists.)

In this interview, we compare our respective academic freedom struggles (I was driven out of the University of Wisconsin by the same Zionist mob that orchestrated 9/11 and targeted Dr. al-Arian) and various related issues, including the evidence of Zionist complicity in the 9/11 atrocities. I also inform him about Jeb Bush’s direct participation in the destruction of evidence showing that Huffman Aviation and other alleged “flight schools” where the alleged 9/11 hijackers pretended to train were actually CIA drug import airstrips.

Sami al-Arian is one of only three Muslims listed in  American Dissidents: An Encyclopedia of Troublemakers, Subversives, and Prisoners of Conscience  which profiles 152 people in American public life from the late 1800s till now. He is the 10th youngest person on the list (the youngest is Bradley Manning). The only two other Muslims are Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali; and the only other Arab-American is Ralph Nader. Sami comments: “What an incredible honor to be in such company.”

Wheaton College, my alma mater, is trying to fire Professor Larycia Hawkins – the first tenured African American woman at Wheaton College since 1860, and the only full-time African American woman on the faculty.

During a time of anti-Muslim rhetoric and violence in our country, Professor Hawkins posted a photo of herself wearing a hijab, writing on Facebook, "I stand in religious solidarity with Muslims because they, like me, a Christian, are people of the book. And as Pope Francis stated last week, we worship the same God."

Two weeks from now there will be a hearing to decide if Professor Hawkins will be fired or not. Before then, I'll be going to hand deliver a letter from multifaith leaders, people of faith, and people of moral courage calling on Wheaton to do the right thing and reinstate her.

Click here to sign our multifaith petition, which I will personally deliver before Professor Hawkins' hearing on February 11th.

It's shocking that this could happen at my alma mater because Wheaton was formed by leaders of the movement to abolish slavery.

But that's what gives me hope that we can persuade Wheaton to see how important (and Christian) it is that Professor Hawkins, a black Christian woman, stood in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters experiencing violence and misunderstanding.

The other option is unthinkable – firing Professor Hawkins would send the un-Christian message that it's okay to bully someone who is using their body as a holy sanctuary against hatred and fear.

That's why faith leaders and people of faith from around the country are calling on Wheaton's President Philip Ryken to reinstate Professor Hawkins.

Please join us in signing this multifaith petition, which I will deliver before the hearing in February.

Thank you for joining the struggle,

    Salaam,

If you haven't had a chance to watch this, here's a link to Obama's whole speech. I still can't believe what he said about the media, tv and film. Rather amazing bits of truth, and Muslim American history, embedded within the very big lie of who is or is not behind the terror. Despite that obvious caveat, I am glad he said what truth he did. I guess this is one way the democrans want to differentiate themselves from the republicrats, by creating a warm fuzzy for Muslims here at home while they continue to slaughter them overseas and terrorize us here. Still, I appreciate the true remarks he made. Even when a hypocrite tells the truth, it is still the truth. One just has to winnow it out from the blather and lies. Stay sane.

Kevin, I vote: The music (hip-hop?!) at the beginning several minutes, mixed under the voices of you and your guest, needs to go! Esp when your chosen music, has lyrics itself! Frustrating trying to decipher your/guest's words when mixed with other sung words! I skipped ahead a few minutes to check if that noise was to be throughout the show, coz if so, next podcast please! Thankfully you phased out the underlying music after… I guess whenever the song ended, and most of the show was just you 2 speaking.

I have heard podcasts where the host mixed in a little ambiance music with volume level way under the speaker(s); and it was lyric-less space/meditation music; and it was effective & even enjoyable. But doesn't work with your hip-hop with lyrics competing with the principal speakers, & driving the listener nuts!

Hope springs eternal in the human heart. Maybe that's what keeps bringing Muslims to this Anti-Muslim nation. (I'd go to Canada, myself.)
I guess Sami never read Noam Chomsky.
