Your Ibrahim Soudy show was beautiful. It helped my husband when he listened to your guest as he has found his spirituality was damaged a great deal having to work in the standard Western work ethic and after his operation. May have to read up on Ramadan and contemplate entering into it if prepared properly.

I haven't heard this show yet, but re the Andre V. article you posted above Kevin, I was disappointed by a certain "obtuseness" or perhaps benign ignorance he demonstrated in the following bits:

"… “Do you believe in collective guilt, in collective responsibility?” Someone challenged me from the public.

“Definitely!” I shouted back. “The responsibility and the guilt of the West, of the white race, of Christianity, of the Empire! Collective responsibility and guilt for hundreds of millions of victims defined as un-people. Victims gassed, bomber, starved, mutilated… Collective guilt and responsibility for raping the free will of billions in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania. Collective guilt and responsibility for the ongoing global apartheid!”
    […]
…, so their lazy fellow human beings in the EU and the US could live the high-life, because they were born white and in one of the ‘right places’?
    […]
I am convinced that the West, the white race and its lackeys abroad, have no right to rule over this Planet. "

"White" this, "White-Christian" that… is Andre V. being deliberately obtuse about zionist-Jewish-bankster rule over the West? And about their undeclared (except perhaps from Rabbi Ovadia Yosef…) but self-evident hostility towards Whites & their nations? Leading rabbis maintain that (ashkenazi descended) Jews aren't White. And in case there were any quibbling over the race/religion question, Andre's rant clarifies that it's "Christians" who are "collectively guilty" of the world's ills.

In the one instance of "Jews" appearing in Andre's rant, he lumps them in with the Bolsheviks (who were indeed overwhelmingly Jewish but Andre doesn't mention this), the French, and the Roma (gypsies); and he infers the old synthetic meme that the Jews (whose leadership delcared war on Germany in 1933) were being 'scapegoated' by the Germans during the 1930s.

Thumbs down on that Andre V. essay; me thinks he's been hanging around with thought-gatekeeper Chomsky too much!

  3. The Jews didn't declare war on Germany. That was just the title of a British tabloid article, In 1933 Jews supported an economic boycott of Germany, as a protest against German government persecution of Jews.

  6. Brother Kevin and Ibrahim both mentioned that they noticed their brain seems to be working better during Ramadan.

In very layman words (ie : biochemistry jargon and details put aside), the reason is that when there is a low glucose (carbohydrates) availability or glucose intake restriction (such as during fasting), different parts of the body switch to using fat as a primary source of energy, instead of glucose.

As it happens, the brain and the heart function better when the body is in fat-primary-fuel mode rather than glucose-primary-fuel mode. Scientists believe that a fat-based diet decreases neuronal excitability which has been tied to various neurological disorders (for example : putting the body into a fat-primary-fuel mode has been a form of treatment for people with epilepsy since the 1920s, since it has shown significant evidence in lowering the chance of seizures occurring).

That is not to say that carbohydrates (glucose) has to become your new sworn enemy (Allah made it easily available anyway),

but its obscene amounts present in today's diet has to be definiteley re-examined if being healthy is important to you

("Sound mind in a sound body").

So, to make your Ramadan experience better, keep your glucose/carbohydrates intake at night very low, otherwise when you are

fasting again tomorrow, your brain is just going to crave for glucose because it did not have time to switch to a

    fat-primary-fuel mode.

Use your favorite search engine to look up : "Ketone bodies", "ketones brain"…etc.

If you are looking for a new sworn enemy to pick, wheat and gluten would be the ones IMHO. The wheat that we have today is not the same wheat as ancient times. The wheat of today is (1) Very high in starch (Amylopectin A; say hello to weight gain, mood swings resulting from blood sugar level swings, diabetes…etc), (2) Addictive but cheaper than heroin (Gliadin; say hello to more hunger, more weight gain, pizza cravings…etc) and (3) Gut damaging (the protein Gluten; say hello to joints pain, chronic inflammation, headaches, bloating…etc).

The Franken-Wheat of today has been given to us by 'Norman Borlaug'in 1953 for which he received the Nobel Prize.

An interesting video on the wheat subject to start with, would be :
