Today is Ramadan 5, 1445 AH. People are fasting across the Muslim world, and starving in Gaza. So it’s an appropriate day to discuss the reason behind the Ramadan fast—Qur’anic guidance—as well as potential solutions to the genocide on Occupied Palestine.
First hour: Marwan Boustany is the author of Guidance According to the Qur’an. The Qur’an states (an-Nahl 89): “And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for those who self-surrender to God.” People have sought guidance from the Qur’an in many ways. Second hour: Mahmood OD returns to Truth Jihad Radio to discuss the ongoing genocide of Gaza and how to stop it.
Mahmood OD, a native Palestinian born in Haifa, is the author of 2048: A Manifesto for the One State Solution in Israel Palestine. In it, he considers the underlying causes of the violence and instability in the region, and proposes a simple and sensible solution, starting with: “The whole conflict can be solved with one thing: Equality. But to reach the stage of equality, one must establish basic understanding about the other side…”
