Tony Szamboti authored the peer-reviewed Journal of 9/11 Studies paper “The Sustainability of the Controlled Demolition Hypothesis for the Destruction of the Twin Towers.” He will be critiquing the Harrit-Rancourt debate and explaining why the Towers must have been demolished with explosives. Barbara Honegger worked as a researcher at the Hoover Institution before joining the Ronald Reagan administration as a researcher and policy analyst in 1980. Honegger headed Reagan’s gender discrimination agency review before resigning in August, 1983.
While working for Reagan she discovered information that convinced her that George H. W. Bush and William Casey had conspired to make sure that Iran did not release the U.S. hostages until Jimmy Carter had been defeated in the 1980 presidential election.
In 1987 Honegger began leaking information to journalists about the Reagan administration. However, it was not until Reagan left office that Honegger published October Surprise (1989). In her book, Honegger claimed that in 1980 William Casey and other representatives of the Reagan presidential campaign made a deal at two sets of meetings in July and August at the Ritz Hotel in Madrid with Iranians to delay the release of Americans held hostage in Iran until after the November 1980 presidential elections. Reagan’s aides promised that they would get a better deal if they waited until Carter was defeated.
In the years since October Surprise was published other sources such as Ari Ben-Menashe have come forward to confirm Honegger’s story.

Barbara Honegger, Founding Mother of the Tea Party Movement, Demands a Blood Test!
It's important not to forget Abbie Hoffman's role – and his 1989 Playboy article – in bringing the October Surprise to public view. Actually Hoffman (one of the Chicago 7 – acquitted on conspiracy charges related to the 1968 Democratic convention) died alerting us to Reagan's subterfuge. Someone cut the brake lines on his car as he was delivering the article – resulting in a very serious car accident. Then a few months later he suddenly and mysteriously "committed suicide." When smart, patriotic people started the tea party movement, there was almost no media coverage.
When a bunch of illiterate "morans" brainwashed by billionaires stole the idea, the corporate media gave it wall-to-wall coverage.
Honegger shouldn't just demand a blood test, she should sue the billionaires who stole her idea and stunk it up.
Excellent show, enjoyed Tony's substantive critique of Rancourt's arguments (or lack of) though I thought he was a bit generous … any lateral forces induced by dynamic gravitational load would require deceleration of the falling mass, which is not observed and therefore Rancourt's argument is invalid on that point. On the subject of the 2" thick gypsum board that clad the core, there are multiple eyewitness accounts of survivors from above the impact zone of the South Tower who managed to escape down a stair well that was relatively undamaged. Some witnesses recalled seeing flames through cracks in the gypsum walls as they descended through the impact affected floors. Clearly, the gypsum walls remained largely intact even on the floors that were directly struck by the aircraft.
The interview with Barbara Honegger was wonderful, an absolute wealth of information. I thought her criticisms of CIT were valid, though I can see no significant conflict in their respective works, indeed they actually support each other with only the question of timing unresolved and requiring further clarification from CIT. Barbara provided one tid-bit of information that actually supports CIT's "fly-over" contention, namely the closure of I395 … the taxi driver she interviewed "was the last taxi driver allowed onto I395 before the police or some kind of responders closed it off". I once heard jim Hoffman scoffing at the suggestopn of a Pentagon fly-over and about the only argument he seemed to have against the idea was that anyone driving along this busy main highway would have seen a plane flying low over the highway … well maybe that's why they closed I395, so there'd be no witnesses to a fly-over.
But one thing that really interests me is this question of who's pulling the strings here, in this convoluted labyrinth of secret dealings … is it the neocon dual-citizens, or are they merely the fall guys, the patsies, is it actually the Anglo-American old boys network running the show … CIA, NSA, DIA, GCHQ, MI6, Secret Service, ASIC, Cheney, Bush Snr … that's a pretty potent clique of players … and how does Rockefeller fit into all this?
I can see I'll have to read Barbara's work on both the Pentagon and the anthrax letters …
