Truth Jihad Radio Wed. 3/16/11, 1-3 pm Central, American Freedom Radio (archived here.) Call-in number: (402) 237-2525 or post your questions to my Facebook page.
First hour: Paul Craig Roberts — the greatest op-ed writer of the post-9/11 era, banned from the Wall Street Journal for telling the truth. His latest article “Our Time of Universal Deceit Needs an Orwell” is one of his best.
Dr. Roberts was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during President Reagan’s first term. He was Associate Editor of the Wall Street Journal. He has held numerous academic appointments, including the William E. Simon Chair, Center for Strategic and International Studies, Georgetown University, and Senior Research Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He was awarded the Legion of Honor by French President Francois Mitterrand. He is the author of many books. (Full bio and column collection here.)
Second hour: Muad’Dib, director of 7/7 Ripple Effect. Good news: On March 8th, Muad’Dib was released from jail, where he was awaiting trial on charges of “attempting to corrupt the judicial system.” In fact, Muad’Dib’s alleged “crime” — sending his 7/7 truth DVD to judge and jurors — was clearly an attempt to prevent the corruption of the judicial system. Muad’Dib’s Alice-in-Wonderland experience with British “justice” has included repeated denials of his requests for bail on the grounds that he failed to attend the bail hearings. Yet the very government that demanded his presence at the bail hearings refused to allow him to attend them by keeping him locked in his cell! Are we watching a re-make of Catch-22 or is this Monty Python meets Franz Kafka? Tune in and meet one of the bravest political prisoners of our time, 7/7 truth-teller Muad’Dib.
Dear Kevin,
Hope this finds you well and in Good spirit.
I'm a friend of Muad'Dib's who listened to your recent interview of Him. Thank-you for having Him on your show.
Just thought I'd give you some feedback about your show – when the music starts drowning out the guest, it comes across as rude. Unintentional I'm sure. But you don't always announce that you're going to a break so it must be very off-putting for guests. The amount of ads and their frequency will also make it hard for the casual listener to follow, receive, and digest what's being talked about, as well as for the interviewee to properly get out what they want/need to say. Perhaps the ads could be condensed in fewer sections, so as to allow enough time for points to be properly transmitted before the next break, and sink in? Unfortunately, the way it is now, it comes across as the interviews supporting the adverts (filling in the time between adverts), rather than the adverts supporting the interview. If you know what I mean?
Other than that it was enjoyable, and your questions were intelligent as usual, and the anecdotes you shared were both funny and interesting. For example about those FBI men who began agreeing with you when you told them about 9/11 (if I remember correctly). It really shows that mankind is subject to a sleepwalking affliction, that has them watching themselves doing things they know aren't right, and yet they don't fully wake up and stop themselves doing it. Hence why "the sleeper must awaken" and "ye must be born again of the spirit".
Thank-you for reading.
As-salaamu 'Alaykum,
Alaikum as-salaam
The music signals an upcoming commercial break — that's ubiquitous in commercial radio. I don't know the break is coming until I hear the music. Then I have to quickly pause the conversation. It's not the ideal format for a leisurely conversation, but it does give me (and my guests) a chance to get up and use the bathroom!
You may especially enjoy my shows on NoLiesRadio, which have no commercials. http://noliesradio.org/archives/category/archived-shows/kevin-barrett-show
