Robert Parry’s “9/11 Truth Parlor Game”

Tuesday, Feb. 8th, 9-10 a.m. Pacific (noon – 1 pm Eastern) on http://NoLiesRadio.org, to be archived here a few hours after broadcast…

Investigative journalist Robert Parry’s vapid attack on the 9/11 truth movement has elicited spirited responses from Jim Fetzer and Kevin Ryan.

Ryan’s response to Parry is even better than Fetzer’s. But Ryan follows his response to Parry with an attack on Fetzer implicitly accusing Fetzer of being a cointelpro-style disinformation agent. (Fetzer responds here.)

Incidentally, Ryan recently published yet another excellent piece on “Energetic Materials as a Possible Cause of First Responder Illness.”

As a friend of both Ryan and Fetzer, I don’t see why their valuable critiques of Parry’s willful ignorance should be eclipsed in yet another “so and so is a disinfo agent” squabble.

I have contacted both of them; Jim Fetzer has confirmed he will join me during the first half hour; Kevin Ryan has been invited to do the second half-hour, or to appear on an alternate date if he wishes.

On a related note: Next week, Ken Jenkins of 911TV.org will join me to discuss:

HOW TO TAKE DOWN ANY ORGANIZATION: U.S. INTEL AGENCIES NO LONGER NEED TO INFILTRATE CIVILIAN GROUPS TO DESTROY THEM, AS THE INFIGHTING WITHIN THE GROUPS IS DOING THE WORK FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT’s EFFORTS.

After just now listening to your Parry-Fetzer broadcast, I am more open to the possiblity that Jim Fetzer is a disinformation agent. His responses were designed to take the conversation away from whatever it might be that you wanted to say. Either that, or he's extremely compulsive and out of touch, which I don't believe but may be the case.

I have not been able to answer the question of why he invites conspiracy nuts and disinfo folks on his radio program, over and over again. As someone so involved in JFK, Wellstone and 9/11, he does discredit those "truth movements" with his nuttier guests whom he takes very seriously.

He must know this. Why does he do it? Jim Fetzer doesn't quite make sense, and that's a problem. I read his blog on Ryan, and I read Ryan's blog on Parry and Fetzer. My impression is that Kevin Ryan is an honest broker who's taking a risk in order to defend a truth he cares about and is heavily invested in. My impression of Fetzer, more and more, is that he's a blowhard. Yeah, it could just be his personality, but in my personal interaction with him, he definitely takes control and guides the talk where he wants it to go.
